Fin de año en Tenerife

Christmas holidays are a perfect opportunity for a short trip, even at last minute. There are many travelers who dare to evade their family commitments to know other Christmas traditions and different contexts of celebration. Can you imagine yourself in a swimsuit celebrating New Year’s Eve? This is possible in a place like Tenerife.

The island of Tenerife is one of the most exotic and top rated destinations in these dates, especially for those who are looking to escape the cold in their winter holidays. To spend the last hours of the year on the beach is one of the major claims of this archipelago, with an average temperature of 20°C/68ºF.

Tenerife offers several options for New Year’s Eve. The most famous celebrations are usually located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, La Laguna, Puerto de la Cruz, Güimar, Granadilla de Abona, Los Silos and Arona, among other towns. One option is to go to ‘Plaza de España’ Square in Santa Cruz de Tenerife to eat the twelve “good-luck grapes”, one by one, keeping the pace with the clock as it strikes midnight. However, you can also continue the party dancing with the orchestras at the same square or in one of the trendy clubs close to the beach. This year, as an alternative, it has been organised another party in Santa Cruz called the ‘New Year SC’. Both will be the two biggest parties outdoors.

From Adrián Hoteles, in Costa Adeje area, the nightlife zone is further south, less than half an hour by car. Coming back to the hotel is easy because of the good taxi service. But if you want to celebrate the New Year’s Eve in the street, you can go to ‘Plaza de San Sebastian’, next to La Caleta.

In the Roca Nivaria hotel the New Year’s Eve dinner will start at 6:30 pm in the Garoé restaurant. The plan will be similar to Jardines de Nivaria hotel, but also we will have a mini disco and kids party for the little ones.
