Adrian Hotels, in its commitment to achieving a high level of service quality in line with the needs of its guests, and aware that these expectations include a constant concern for the preservation of our environment, aims to ensure that its activities, products, and services are carried out responsibly. The goal is to safeguard a clean, unpolluted environment that guarantees the health and well-being to which every person is entitled.
Since 2023, Adrián Hotels has been a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, committing to its 10 principles and working in alignment with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
What measures do we take to be more sustainable?
Energy
- 100% of the electricity consumed by the three hotels comes from renewable sources.
- Buildings are architecturally designed to maximize natural light.
- Thermally insulated glass protects against cold and heat, maintaining a stable indoor temperature.
- Solar energy (photovoltaic) at RNGH.
- Reuse of warm air from air conditioning for pool heating and domestic hot water.
- Motion sensors and timers.
- LED lighting throughout all facilities.
- Automatic on/off timers based on daylight hours.
- Automatic air-conditioning shut-off in rooms when terrace doors are opened or via key card.
- General electricity in rooms controlled by key card.
- Modern, more efficient machinery.
- Centralized laundry uses ECO wash programs. Guests can choose less frequent washing of sheets and towels.
Emissions
- We calculate our Carbon Footprint annually to monitor the CO2 emissions generated by our activities and develop annual action plans to reduce them.
- Local reforestation activities.
- Collective transport between locations.
- Electric vehicle chargers at all three properties.
Water
- On-site reverse osmosis desalination plant, converting seawater into H2O, which is the only water used in our hotels.
- Dual-flush toilets.
- Faucets and showers with flow regulators, aerators, and motion sensors.
- Automatic irrigation system using sprinklers or drip irrigation, with night-time timers.
- Introduction of native flora in the gardens.
- Awareness messages in rooms. Guests can choose less frequent washing of sheets and towels.
- Reusable bottles provided to all guests and staff to reduce plastic use and protect the environment.
- Reverse osmosis system.
Sustainable consumption
- Use of recycled paper.
- Use of returnable bottles.
- Dispensing systems for beer and soft drinks in all bars.
- Use of local and nearby products (Km0) in our kitchens.
- Elimination of single-use plastics.
- Purchase of products with minimal packaging.
- Only natural fertilizers are used in our gardens; no harmful pesticides.
- Use of recycled paper and/or paper with recognized environmental certifications.
- Automatic dosing systems for cleaning, laundry, and pool products.
Waste
- Circular Economy: Composting of organic waste from kitchens and gardens.
- Environmental criteria are applied in purchasing to reduce waste, such as bulk buying.
- Returnable packaging.
- Elimination of single-use plastics: amenities, cups and tableware, straws, bottles, and single-dose food products.
- Waste separation bins in guest areas and internal zones.
- Reuse of envelopes and paper for internal use.

ISO – 14001:2015
Our three hotels are certified under the ISO 14001:2015 Standard. Thanks to the implementation of this system, resource and waste management is optimized, and potential direct and indirect environmental impacts resulting from their activities are reduced.

The Environmental Management System of the three hotels has been certified under the EMAS Regulation (Environmental Management and Audit Scheme) since 2004, 2012, and 2015, respectively, thereby committing to continuous improvement, verified through independent audits.

Our three hotels are certified under the ISO 9001:2015 Standard. Thanks to the implementation of this system, procedures within and between departments are optimized, ensuring continuous improvement of services and facilities to achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction.
Carbon Footprint Reduction
Our three hotels are registered in the Carbon Footprint, Offset, and CO2 Absorption Projects Registry of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.
