These are some of the sites by which you can start:

Teide

Discover Tenerife’s most important icon, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visiting this volcano will take a whole day. It’s the highest summit in Spain at 12,198 ft. above sea level and 24,606 ft. above the sea bed.

There are numerous trails that surround the mountain that offer unique views of Teide. We recommend two of them: Altos de Guajara and Montaña de las Arenas. There are also organised excursions to visit the area of Las Cañadas. A must-see is the area of Roques García, in front of the Parador.

And if you like strong emotions, you can visit, with prior permission, the crater of the volcano. This walk is done in a day, but you can also spend the night in a shelter and watch the sunrise from the top.

Tenerife Carnival

Carnival is one of the island’s biggest festivals. You can enjoy the competition of street bands (murgas) from the end of January and the street parties start in late February, culminating with the large parades (Gran Coso) on the streets of Santa Cruz and the so-called Burial of the Sardine, a symbolic ceremony which marks the end of Carnival.

Theme parks

Siam Park is considered the best water park in Europe. This Thai-inspired theme park has the largest artificial wave in the world, measuring 13 ft. in height. An alternative to Siam Park is Aqualand, where you can slide into the water on slides that measure close to 1,000 ft. in length and 46 ft. in height, which also have changes of speed during the descent.

Las Águilas Jungle Park is a botanical park and zoo surrounded by nature and more than 600 animals living in their own habitat. 18.5 acres that will leave you with your mouth open when you see the waterfalls, lagoons and caves.

Another theme park you can visit is Loro Parque, which recently inaugurated Animal Embassy: 5.5 acres to raise awareness on environmental and animal protection.

Anaga Rural Park

Anaga Rural Park is located in a mountain range in the northeast part of the island of Tenerife. It takes 90 minutes to get there from our hotel but the experience is well worth the journey just to see its wonderful landscapes and the laurel forests.

The area occupies more than 34 acres and it has a network of roads and trails that can be accessed by car, bus or on foot. Choose from the different available routes and enjoy an excursion that you will never forget.

Teno Rural Park and Masca

Teno Rural Park is located on the north-western tip of the island of Tenerife, just 30 minutes away from Masca, the closest emblematic town. Here you can enjoy not just the beautiful landscapes but also the biologic diversity. It spreads over 20,000 acre.

San Sebastián Festival (La Enramada)

Attending this festival is a privilege. Seeing dozens of horses being ridden into the sea while the riders show off their skills and pay tribute to their saint is something worth seeing. Traditionally, the saint is walked into the sea in a procession with thousands of people and animals. This festival takes place on January 20th in San Sebastián, La Caleta (Costa Adeje), just a few minutes away from the hotel.
